A 3-yr-old girl in Hyderabad cries 'tears of blood', her father appeals for help

The condition of a three-year-old girl in Hyderabad has left people shocked and puzzled. A mysterious condition makes blood ooze out from her eyes. According to reports, Ahana Afzal had started bleeding from her nose 16 months ago, which was followed by blood from her mouth, ears, eyes, and even private parts.  The girl's father, Mohammed Afzal, is a gym trainer, and Ahana is his younger daughter.  Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Afzal narrated his woes. “For the first 18 months the girl was okay. She started bleeding about 16 months ago. The bleeding occurs for seconds, sometimes minutes, and stops by itself. Sometimes she bleeds twice or thrice in a day, sometimes five times a week. I took her to hospitals in Mumbai and Bengaluru. I took her to CMC Vellore. No one could diagnose the disease," he said. He also told the newspaper that Ahana would become unconscious or semi-conscious during the bleeding, and would also get fits. Doctors suspect that Ahana could be suffering from a rare medical condition called Hematidrosis, which leaves a person sweating blood. Hematohidrosis also known as Hematidrosis, hemidrosis and hematidrosis, is a condition in which capillary blood vessels that feed the sweat glands rupture, causing them to exude blood, occurring under conditions of extreme physical or emotional stress."After days of medical care and concern, the bleeding has reduced a lot. She required multiple transfusions and recurrent admissions. One's physical health is badly affected with this and she is a child. It has not permanently been cured but process is on," Pediatric Oncologist, Dr Sirisha, told ANI. While Afzal is disheartened, he has now asked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help him with his daughter's treatment. Ahana is now admitted at the Rainbow Hospital in the city’s Banjara Hills area, where her parents can be contacted.
