Actor Jr NTR's, Jai Lava Kusa, opened to packed theatres on Friday, to much critical acclaim.
According to reports, the Telugu film did well, not just in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, but also in Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai.
According to its makers, The film reportedly grossed Rs 30 crore on its opening day across the Telugu states, while it raked in approximately Rs 42 crore worldwide.
Following is the breakup of the net revenues on Day 1, provided by the makers of the film, according to reports:
Nizam= Rs 5 crore
Ceded= Rs 4.01 crore
Nellore= Rs 1.08 crore
Guntur= Rs 3.05 crore
Krishna= Rs 1.7 crore
West Godavari= Rs 1.8 crore
East Godavari= Rs 2.96 crore
Uttar Andhra= Rs 1.89 crore
Total net revenue = Rs 21.54 crore
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter, and said that the US box office collections alone for day 1, were $905,000 (Rs 5.87 crore), adding that it could become $1 million (Rs 6.48 crore) soon.

Directed by KS Ravindra aka Bobby, the film has Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas playing the female leads with Tammannah Bhatia making a special appearance.
Bollywod actor Ronit Roy will be seen playing the baddie in this flick with Nanditha Raj, Hamsa Nandini, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Abhimanyu Singh and Harish Uthaman also in the star cast playing supporting roles.
The film has been written by KS Ravindra along with director Kona Venkat and K. Chakravarthy.
Jai Lava Kusa is produced by Jr NTR’s brother and actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram under their home banner NTR Arts. Devi Sri Prasad has composed music for this flick with Chota K Naidu cranking the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao editing it.
This magnum opus hit the silver screens on September 21, to cash in on the Dusshera holiday season.
