Missing persons case
According to his father, Raghavendra who was working with Microsoft has been missing since the past six months.
A 35-year-old software engineer, P Raghavendra Rao from Hyderabad working in the United States of America is reportedly missing, according to his father, Bangaram. His father concluded that he was missing, as he stopped calling them for the past six months. Raghavendra pursued his MTech in London and then moved to the US, and secured a job at Microsoft in 2011, according to his family. Speaking to TNM, Raghavendra’s sister Rajini said, “My brother moved to the US from London and was staying in California. He would regularly call my father, but since last December he hasn’t been calling us. We are worried since then. We would request the respective authorities to help trace him.” Rajini is the elder sister of Raghavendra. Raghavendra’s father, P Bangaram, a retired executive engineer, through a video made a fervent appeal to Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Telangana Minister of IT KT Rama Rao asking them to help find his son. In a video, a helpless Bangaram says that his son working in Microsoft would call them every day without fail. However, since December 21, 2017, he hasn’t been calling them. An inconsolable Bangaram weeps and says, “I think he is missing. We don’t know his whereabouts.”   P Bangaram father of P Raghavendra Rao appeals Smt Sushma Swaraj Minister for External Affairs Govt of India & Sri K T Rama Rao Minister for Municipal Administration & NRI Govt of Telangana to help locate his son who is missing from California in USA since 21st Oct 2017. pic.twitter.com/Ts7PIhqrVs— Amjed Ullah Khan MBT (@amjedmbt) June 21, 2018 Besides, the video, in a letter appealing to Sushma Swaraj, he wrote, “He used to call me, his mother and his sister on daily basis and was very happy with the job also. He last spoke on 21 October I have and since then he is not in touch with me. I tried all means to get in touch but failed. He is my only son and there no one to look after me.” Bangaram also sought an appointment with Minister of IT, KT Rama Rao on Thursday to explain his ordeal. However, the Minister was unavailable. Bangaram is a resident of Saidabad in Hyderabad. Speaking to TNM, he said, “We don’t know any of his friends or colleagues. We contacted a few of his friends who were studying with him in London, but they also said that he was not in touch with them for many years. We are really helpless. All I want is that the Indian Embassy authorities to visit his office and locate him.” He added, “I would be grateful for Sushma Swaraj if she helps me find my son.”
