Four robbers in Telangana's Sangareddy district on Wednesday reportedly stole 40 kilograms of gold worth Rs 12 crore and other jewellery from the office of a gold financing company, posing as CBI and RBI officials. The incident occurred at Muthoot Finance's Ramachandrapuram branch, and the accused were said to be carrying guns. The Hindu reported that the accused came in a red Scorpio vehicle at around 9.30 am, and took out short firearms after walking into the bank posing as officials. The report adds that they threatened employees not to move, before collecting the loot from the safe and speeding away. The police were immediately informed, and rushed to the spot.   Following the theft, the Cyberabad police in coordination with the Sangareddy police, has also set up check points to track vehicles in the area, to prevent the accused from escaping. Special teams have also been formed. Reports also state that inter-state borders have been sealed. Further details are awaited.
