Hyderabad train collision: List of Tuesday’s cancellations

South Central Railway authorities on Tuesday continued to announce cancellations and diversions of several trains bound to and from Hyderabad’s Kacheguda railway station in the wake of Monday’s train collision. As many as 16 passengers and an MMTS loco pilot were injured after the Lingampally-Falaknuma MMTS train (Train No. 47178) collided with the Kurnool City Secunderabad Hundry Intercity Express (Train No 17028) near the Kacheguda railway station at 10.30 am. On Monday, after the restoration operations started, 12 MMTS (local) trains, 16 passenger trains and 3 Express trains were cancelled while 38 trains were partially cancelled. Seven Express trains were diverted while 6 other Express trains were rescheduled. Meanwhile, the MMTS loco pilot, L Chandrasekhar, who was saved following a rescue operation by the NDRF that lasted around 8 hours is being treated at Care Hospital, Nampally. According to a statement from South Central Railway, the official will establish the facts and investigate the reasons behind the incident and submit a report by Wednesday.
